The object of the Legion of Mary is the glory of God through the Holiness of its members developed by prayer and active co-operation in Mary's and the Church's work. The unit of the Legion is called a praesidium, which holds a weekly meeting where prayer is intermingled with reports and discussion. Members participate in the life of the parish through apostolic works.

An intercessional prayer ministry. Our focus is on the special intentions of our St. Bernadette Parish Family as submitted to us, as well as those special intentions brought forth by each of us as individuals. Because of the unique purpose of this ministry, our primary mode of prayer, while we are together as a group, is more spontaneous than structured.

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration is visiting and spending time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament exposed in the Monstrance. It is an expression of our love for Jesus, who loves us so much that He never wants to leave us and stays with us day and night in the Blessed Sacrament. Our Lord says, “Behold I am with you always.” This visit to the Blessed Sacrament is one of the great treasures of the Catholic Faith, as it nourishes social love and gives us opportunities for adoration and thanksgiving, for reparation and supplication.
