The St. Bernadette Bereavement Ministry is beginning its Fall 7-week Grief Support sessions. We will meet every Thursday in the Family Life Center, which offers a warm, caring, safe and faith-based place for all those attending.

About our Bereavement Ministry:
Provide a safe place for those who have lost a loved one to mourn emotionally, physically, and spiritually. The group endeavors to help those who are grieving realize they are not alone and to provide a faith-based environment of hope.
The ministry head develops a list of invitees. A facilitator for each of the small groups (spring and fall) prepares letters of invitation and becomes the contact person for those attending the group. Two facilitators lead each group through the seven sessions.
Helpful Attributes - Compassion and concern for others; good listening skills; a strong desire to help others during a very difficult time in their lives due to the loss of a loved one.
Time Commitment - Lead one of the groups (spring or fall) once a week for seven consecutive weeks; time to prepare letters of invitation and gather responses for those facilitators taking on that responsibility.
Training Required - Parish training provided by facilitators who have been diocese trained
